Live music

This year, the Middle Earth Beer Festival has a musical line-up to match the magical surroundings of Waddow Hall. Dance at the main stage or chill with buskers playing in Hobbiton Market. If there’s a better combo than music and beer, we haven’t run into it on our travels.

Middle Earth Beer Festival on Facebook

Friday 16th June  - Open from 6.00pm, live music from 6.00pm until midnight.

Saturday 17th June - Open from 11.00am, live music from 11.15am until midnight.

Sunday 18th June - Open from 11.00am, Swing Commanders from 5.30pm until close.

Middle Earth Beer Festival 2017 will be packed to the rafters with music, fun and Shirelike sideshow attractions. When you’re not sampling fine ales in the beer tent, take a trip through Hobbiton market and enjoy live music by rock, folk, swing and country musicians; some of them favourites, and some you’ll be glad to meet.

Be amazed by the craftsmanship on show from local artisans and performers from local, professional theatre company Ribcaged who will be holding court in their own special way, as well as glassblowing, blacksmithing and chainsaw carving shows and workshops.

The beautiful grounds of Waddow Hall will be open to guests throughout the weekend, so feel free to adventure by the River Ribble, just as JRR Tolkein did…

Ribcaged is the Ribble Valley’s national award-winning theatre company. They are passionate about the arts and seek to create new, exciting, powerful and dynamic theatre that delights audiences.

Simon Entwistle - storyteller

Saturday 17th June 10.00pm until midnight.

Simon will be telling tales of local ghostly legends and gruesome murders.

The famous story of the Waddow Hall ghost Peg O’Nell and sightings of her at the Hall. The Clitheroe castle ghosts, the river Ribble murder of Jaqui Coultard in 1898 and much, much more….
